2007 Dunno & Kegs Memorial Surfing Classic Results

A Prefect day not a cloud. Surfers came from the Gold Coast to Tathra to Rennies Beach for the 2007 Ulladulla Surfing Classic. With ideal surfing conditions of 3 foot waves light offshore breeze turning northeast at lunchtime.

To all the boys and girls who competed we saw fantastic displays of talented surfing and board boarding. A great day spent with wonderful people to remember the Ulladulla boys in true Ozzie spirit and strong mateship that Ulladulla is built on.

International board boarding judge from Newcastle did a great job and has been involved in the surfing classic for the last five years. Thanks to all surfing judges and body boarding judges. Milton Ulladulla Apex commented that once again, the Ulladulla Board Riders and Body Boarders Club did an incredible job in organising the surfing classic at Rennies Beach. A special thanks also to Mark Glaton and Patti Bartlett.

And what’s a day at Rennies Beach without Marg Sheedy and other residents of Rennies Close who always support and assist with the surfing classic. A thanks to the sponsors Southern Man, Coyote Surf Fashions, Ocean & Earth, Manta, Rip Curl, Aquatique, Hampton Hire, IBM and Lewis Designs.

And what about the crew at the food tent: Tracey Bindley, Rhonda Swindale and their trainees who helped out Alysha, Holly and Karlee along with all the parents. Matt Cuthbert won the annual Telstra body boarding trophy. There were over 130 surfers who participated in the surfing classic.
