Jan 23: Federal Government $11M for Ulladulla's Schools

Member for Gilmore Joanna Gash has announced almost $13m in capital works grants for public education in the Milton Ulladulla region. Mrs Gash said the major grants underlined the Australian Government’s commitment to public education and are dominant contributions to major redevelopment costs. The 2005/06 Capital Grants are as follows:

School

Grant

Total Project Cost

Ulladulla High School

$8.5m

$11.2m

Milton Public School

$3m

$3.5m

Milton Public School

$666,000 ($2m 2004)

$3.057m

Member for Gilmore, Joanna Gash said the grants will, in most cases, see the various schools’ major redevelopment projects completed. “These are significant grants in anyone’s book,” Mrs Gash said. “It is what good government is about.

“We are investing in the future of our region and it is particularly pleasing to see the grants flow for some well overdue projects, like that at Ulladulla High School.
