Former Australian Netball Coach coming to town!! Ulladulla & Districts Netball Association are proud to announce that they will be welcoming Margaret Corbett former Australian Netball Coach with open arms into our Netball community in March. The Association is holding a Coaching weekend on 16/17/18 March 2007 at West Ulladulla Sport Complex. We have been privileged to gain Margaret Corbett as our primary presenter. Margaret has dedicated her life to the game of Netball and she is accomplished at many levels from club and state to national and international teams. Margaret has created a legacy throughout the netball world for grooming and inspiring players and developing coaches at all levels of the game. In 1976, Margaret became one of the first recipients of the Ann Clarke Service Awards, in 1982 she became a Life Member of Netball NSW and in November 2006 Margaret was inducted into Netball NSW Hall of Fame. Margaret has not only made an outstanding contribution to the development of netball nationally and globally, but has also had a significant and positive impact on the young girls and women she has mentored over many years, hence her nomination for Australian of Year 2007. Margaret will be conducting a coach’s clinic on Friday 16th March at West Ulladulla Sports Complex from 6.30 pm-9.30pm. This night is open to all and the theme of this night will be ‘BACK TO THE BASICS’ so for all those coaches and players out there who need some inspiration or who maybe thinking about coaching this year, come along and be inspired you will not be disappointed. There will be a charge of $10.00 per head on the night. She will continue her coaching seminar by conducting a Level One Coaching Course on Saturday and Sunday 17 & 18 March between 9 am and 4 pm. The cost is $66 per participant and registration enquiries should be directed to Carole Shepherd on 0412 270 417. So to all coaches, players, administrators, teachers and interested members of the public who would like to be inspired we can assure you that you will be entertained by Margaret's love of the game and her attitude to sport. So come along and enjoy an informative weekend and share Margaret’s calm, warm and relaxed attitude and you will not be disappointed.
