Welcome to the Umpiring Homepage! Hi everyone and welcome to another season of Netball. My name is Ruth Robson and I am the Umpires Convenor for the Association along with Robin Butler, who is also the Umpires Development Officer. The Umpires Committee for 2008 is:- Krystle Fowler (Waves Umpires Convenor); Mark Wagg; Tammy Walker; Ruth Robson (Flames Umpires Convenor); and Robin Butler. Last year we had a really good year for badging, with Tammy Walker receiving her National 'C' Badge which was a fantastic achievement for our Association. This year we hope to badge many of our talented umpires from both the Waves & Flames Clubs. The umpiring level during the past 4-5 years has risen dramatically, and the Umpires Committee will be working closely with both Clubs to ensure that we have top level umpires coming through the ranks and that respect and responsibility is achieved towards all umpires, so please encourage our umpires and show them your support. If you have any queries regarding umpiring, or would like to come along and have lots of fun and laughter, and at the same time learn to umpire, please call into Umpires Control on any Saturday and meet our special band of umpiring volunteers. Yours in Netball, RUTH ROBSON Umpires Convenor Umpires Checklist Code of Conduct From the Whistle Netball Draw 2008 Janette McDonald (left) Maureen Boyle AOM and Norma Lowe An extremely exclusive and priviledged invitation was extended to Ulladulla & Districts Netball Association by Manly-Warringah Netball Association to attend a one day/one off seminar to assist Umpires Convenors with the coaching of their umpires in 2007. This was was attended by Janette McDonald and Norma Lowe. The day was hosted by Maureen Boyle AOM and was an unbelievable experience. Both Janette and Norma came away from the day full of enthusiasm and confidence in being able to coach our Ulladulla umpires in an excellent manner and to a high level of competency. Our Association would sincerely like to thank Denise Booth, Umpires Convenor for Manly-Warringah Netball Association for this wonderful opportunity and assure her that all the valuable information we learned from Maureen on the day will be put into practise at our Association.
