Ulladulla woman Kay Hodge was officially awarded the honour of South Coast
Electorate Woman of the Year by Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock.
"I was proud to announce Kay as the South Coast Electorate Woman of the Year and
just as honoured to have attended the presentation on Friday 23rd June," Mrs.
Hancock said.
"Kay has displayed her commitment through sport, specifically netball, to the
youth and community of Ulladulla for over 25 years.
Kay has been and still is, a dedicated player, administrator, coach and member
of Ulladulla Netball Association.
She has coached and umpired teams from Ulladulla High and public schools,
promoted the sport, arranged junior development officers to visit local schools
and has also been the driving force behind the development of the new amenities
building, flexi-pave courts, lighting and fencing at the local sports complex."
The presentation to Kay was a spectacular event and was topped off with the
presence of family and friends.
"Joanna Gash, myself and a large contingent of supporters packed into the
Milton-Ulladulla Bowling Club to pay our respects to this great woman,"
commented Mrs. Hancock.
"To be named as the South Coast Electorate Woman of the Year is a great honour
with Kay Hodge being a very deserved winner."
"The NSW Woman of the Year Award is about recognising the work of an outstanding
woman, as a representative of all the talented women who give their time and
experience to other women and their communities."
I am absolutely delighted to have nominated Kay Hodge as the South Coast
Electorate Woman of the Year. Her dedication and commitment to the community
make her a very worthy winner, Mrs. Hancock concluded.
