Since the
Gilmore Sports Awards were first introduced in 2002 by the
Federal Member for Gilmore, Joanna Gash, many talented
sportspeople have been recognised and honoured.
The Award recognises the special contribution made not only
by athletes but also by the officials, administrators and
volunteers that support them.
The Ulladulla & Districts Netball Association

2006 GILMORE SPORTS AWARDS
Thursday
7th March saw hundreds of talented sports people of ages
from 12-15 years converge to Milton Ulladulla
Ex-Serviceman’s Club for the 2006 Region 5 Gilmore
Sports Awards. The Gilmore Sports Awards represent a night
where sportsmen, women or teams are nominated by their peers
in their chosen field of sport for their outstanding
contributions and achievements to their sport.
Ulladulla Netball Association Inc had two winners on the
night, our 13 representative team who took out Best Sporting
Team 13-15 year for their achievements at the NSW State Age
Championships 2006 and Taara Mc Donald for taking out Best
Sports Women 13-15 years for her achievement in obtaining
her National C Umpiring badge. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GIRLS.
We are very proud of you all. Thank you to all parents and
grandparents that came and supported the girls it was a
great night.

On
20th April 2007 saw the Gilmore Distinguished
Service Sports Awards presented by Joanna Gash to
members of Ulladulla Netball who were recognised
for their many years of service to our Association.
Congratulations
to the following recipients Robin Butler, Margaret
Callan, Sue Chismon, Kay Hodge, Norma Lowe, Julie
Patterson, Ann Pomfret , Rhonda Swindale and Debbie
Todeschini. These ladies between them have
contributed 172 years of service to the Ulladulla
Netball Association - what a great achievement and
I am sure all members thank these volunteers for
their dedication and commitment.
