contribution to such a momentous celebration and presented each lady with an
engraved glass.
A tribute to Kay Hodge was presented by Rhonda Swindale, Norma Lowe, Margaret
Callan and Sue Chismon. Rachelle Chismon wrote a dedication for Kay from a
player's perspective:
You make us laugh, you cheer, you scream
That's all because you gave us a dream,
To believe in ourselves was a must
You earned our respect, friendship and trust.
You knew what to say to inspire and excite
You shared our glory and praised what was right,
You taught us confidence and how to be strong
Tactfully told us when things went wrong.
You understood our spirit and our frustration
Your leadership gained our continued admiration,
And even when spirits were down in defeat
You somehow pulled us back on our feet.
In our lives the part you have played
Will outshine all the goals that we made,
For your loving enthusiastic approach
Thank you so much for all you've done COACH!
The "U.D.N.A's Service Award" (an engraved crystal vase) was then presented to
Kay Hodge for her "25 Years Dedication to the Association".
The entertainment followed with "3 Stripe Avenue", and this young group of very
talented musicians are to be congratulated for their contribution to a most
enjoyable evening.
