How to obtain services?
Services are available to people who need some assistance to be at home. This includes people with disabilities, older individuals and carers. This is to enable people to enjoy being at home.

The potential service user or someone on their behalf can contact us. This includes family, friends, other community services and medical professionals.

Once the organisation has been contacted a staff member will visit the potential customer and discuss the options available. Food services can commence the next day if required.

Want to be involved?
We welcome everyone who wishes to offer their time and skills. The organisation works because so many people are willing to support others in the community. More volunteers means that we can help more people.

There are a wide range of activities that are available including:
· Home visiting (2 hours per week/fortnight/month)

· Accompany individuals on outings (2 hours per week/fortnight/month)

· Delivering of meals (2 hours per month)

· Stocktaking and ordering (2 X 2 hours per month)

· Social group support (5 hours per fortnight/month)

· Management committee/board (2 hours per month)

· Special interest groups (2hrs per fortnight/month)

All activities are undertaken on a rostered basis.

The Organisation
Southern Shoalhaven Zone Meals on Wheels is a regional Co-operative with its members being the local community organisations, Friends' Social Support Group, Lake Conjola Meals on Wheels, Milton Ulladulla Meals on Wheels and Sussex Inlet and District Meals on Wheels.

Southern Shoalhaven Zone Meals on Wheels Co-operative receives funding under the HACC program from NSW Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care.
