Family Fun & Entertainment October Long weekend
Milton revives its pioneer spirit every Sunday on the October long weekend – Thousands of people travel to Milton each October long weekend when it pays tribute to the district’s rural heritage.
A full day of entertainment is planned for Sunday including activities from clowns, magicians, story tellers and street theatre performers, there are also lots of craft and nick-nack stalls at the Village markets all in the centre of town.
Activities include pioneer and rural displays including sheep shearing and whip cracking.

See, experience and absorb the latest musical fascination and worldwide phenomenon taking over your home town. On stage, in ‘The Green’, around the markets – it’s Uke-mania and it’s a whole lot ‘a fun!
Catch Ukulele performances by local schools, community groups, our home grown ‘Ukenasia’ and ‘Chooks on a Hot Tin Roof’ over lunch in ‘Ukulele Central’ (aka The Village Green).
Don’t miss feature artists, Bosko and Honey – Australia’s favourite Ukulele couple, in workshop and live in concert. Be inspired, be a part of, enjoy the music, workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations and jam sessions. There’s something for everyone – non players, wannabe players and players.
