The
Ulladulla Sports & Game Fishing Club is proud of the
heritage of Jess Sams and continues to honour the legacy
each year. 2007 will be the 71st anniversary of the late
Jess Sam's 1938 Australian record striped Marlin catch of
330lbs, this record still is current today.
The magnificent waterrs off Ulladulla bear some of the
best specimens of Marlin, Tuna and Sharks found on the
Coast.
Din Goswell, President of the Sport & Game Fishing
club said It will be good to see crews from other
Game Fishing Clubs including Sydney, Victoria and the
South Coast come to Ulladulla for the
tournament.
A representative from the the NSW Fisheries Recreational
Fishing Trust is in attendance, to survey the fisherman
in regards to the type of fish that were tagged and
release for their angling research.
