Rolls Service He left Australia in
September 1915, and was training in Egypt for six months,
prior to being sent to France. He was one of the first
Australians to land in France. He was originally attached to
the Light Horse, but was transferred to the Artillery while
in Egypt. 54th Battery, 14th FA Bde. RTA 3 July
