Convict Scarborough 1790 Sydney Gazette 2 Oct 1808 appears the notice of the wreck of the Charlotte. On 27 Sep 1808 Robert Inch Master and owner of the sloop Charlotte and his only hand George Conway were drowned. According to those in the sloop "Hope" which was a mile behind the Charlotte, the latter vessel was caught in a sudden squall, and went over through the "the jibing" of her mainsail.
