roads will lead to Mollymook Beach Reserve on Australia
Day as the region celebrates our Proud Past, Bright
Future. In addition to Citizen of the Year Award ceremony
the Australia Day Celebration event will feature, song
and dance on stage, over 100 market stalls, community
group displays, children's rides, and competitions.
Hosted by the Ulladulla Milton Lions Club and proudly
sponsored by Shoalhaven City Council. More details will
be posted soon for our gala Australia Day festival on
Saturday January 26th
Entertainment
Throughout the day local musicians will entertain the
crowd with music, dance and others. Along with the
Ulladulla Milton Lion's Citizen Awards Awards. The
popular Lions Club Beach Markets stalls will open at
9am.
Fun and Games
As part of the fun-packed day, some of the best-ever
Aussie Competitions will be conducted for all ages. There
will be kite flying, colouring in competitions and kids
fun games and the Hotel Tug-o-War.
Displays
Displays include the Rural Fire Service community
education, along with Community, Tourism and Heritage
information. Plus on display will be a range of
Australian family history with many local & regional
history records. There will be an historic tour of
Sandridge
Cemetery
at 11am by historian Cathy Dunn.

Citizenship Ceremony
A Citizenship ceremony will be an added feature at
the 2008 Australia Day Celebrations at Mollymook Beach
Reserve. Shoalhaven Mayor Greg Watson will administer the
ceremony culminating in the Australian Citizenship
pledges for several new Citizens.
Australia Day Ambassador
Alan Whelpton is a successful Sydney businessman and
is currently World President of the International Life
Saving Federation. In 1996, he was inducted into The
Australian Sports Hall of Fame and in 2001 received the
Australian Sports Medal. He was also selected as a Torch
Bearer for the 2000 Olympic Torch Relay. He is the Life
Governor, Surf Life Saving Australia and we welcome him
to Mollymook Beach
