Construction to continue on Ulladulla – Burrill Lake shared use pathway
Shoalhaven City Council will be continuing construction of a shared use pathway between Ulladulla and Burrill Lake after recently receiving funding as part of the 2012 NSW Coastline Cycleway program.
The funding, which will be combined with additional Council funds, will allow Council to extend the shared path south from its current location at Canberra Crescent.
It is anticipated that the final stages to complete the link between Ulladulla and Burrill Lake would be completed in the 2014/15 financial year dependent on additional funding becoming available.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash said she was extremely pleased to see construction recommence on this vital section of the area’s coastal shared use pathway system.
“I’m sure the local community will be over the moon to see additional works being undertaken on the Ulladulla to Burrill Lake shared use path,” said Clr Gash.
“Since becoming Mayor I have had many requests from both local residents and specific user groups as to when this project will be completed.
“Once completed, local residents and tourists alike will have access to a safe shared use pathway network providing access between Ulladulla and Burrill Lake.”
