Family Assistance Services

Member for Gilmore Joanna Gash in March 2007 today the extension of Family Assistance services in the Ulladulla Medicare office, bringing the national roll-out of the services to the region.

The roll-out of Family Assistance services means people can carry out more of their business with the Australian Government through the Ulladulla Medicare office.

The availability of these services from the Ulladulla Medicare office means families will be able to combine a wider range of Government interactions.

People will spend less time waiting in queues and filling out forms and have more time to spend with their families.

Ulladulla residents will now be able to lodge claims for the Maternity Payment, Maternity Immunisation Allowance, Child Care Benefit and Family Tax Benefits at the Medicare office in Rowens Arcade Princes Arcade Ulladulla.

From mid-year people will be able to take advantage of the new electronic Medicare claiming initiative which will enable Medicare rebates to be instantly processed through an EFTPOS device in the doctor’s surgery. This will mean families are not out-of-pocket while they wait for their Medicare claims to be processed.

The Ulladulla Medicare office is open from 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
